Why would the King of the Seven Hells, the Nine Hells, and Limbo all have the same density?
In the original World of Warcraft world, all of the locations that are described as the Nine Hells in the Blizzard lore also have the same density as the three Nine Hells, which are the Earth, the Maelstrom, and the Twisting Nether. In all the World of Warcraft lore, these three hells are always described as being one and the same. Is there a reason that these three hells are so similar? If there is a reason, is this same reason why all of the other locations in the world also have the same density?

I found a really nice series of articles on this matter, and after reading them all I can only say the answer is, that there isn't a reason for this. While there are some logical reasons for this consistency, they are probably the result of Blizzard going to great lengths to avoid inconsistencies in the WoW lore.
